We visited on 21-26 Jun 07. The itinerary included riding the Durango & Silverton Railroad, driving the 'Million Dollar Highway'/'San Juan Skyway' and several days in Mesa Verde National Park (proving to Olimpia that there's something in the 4 Corners region besides trains...) The emphasis in town photos is victorian commercial architecture.

This page is organized a bit better than our usual contact-sheet format. Here the contact sheets are organized by major area of interest. They're still contact sheets, i.e. you get to see the good, the bad and the ugly. As usual, click on the thumbnail to see the full-sized image.

As usual, all photos taken with my Canon Digital Rebel XT, most using the Canon 17-85 EF-S image stabilized lens and telephoto shots with the Canon 75-300 image stabilized lens. (As you can see, in some places it didn't help...) While shooting Mesa Verde, I discovered that the camera tended to over-expose things, so I set it for automatic bracketing (+/- 1 1/3 stop), producing a lot of photos of the same thing. Obviously these need some winnowing and post-processing. I'm also sorry about the vignetting from a Cokin lens hood that I often had turned so that it showed in the photo...

Also as usual, no Windoze products were used in the production of this website. The contact sheet pages were generated with Apple iPhoto.
