A trip to Languedoc, July 2021

We took the chance that France would open up for US visitors, and probably got the "last cheap tickets" for flights to Europe. We flew into Nice, then drove to Languedoc. Sites we visited include Pont du Gard, Arles (Ok, offically that's in Provence), Uzes, Nimes, Montpellier, Fontfroid Abbey, Narbonne, Carcassone, Albi and Toulouse. Arles has the relatively new bust of Julius Caesar (although not everyone agrees with that), as well as an amphitheater and theater. Nimes has the Maison Carree temple, another ampitheater, and a great Roman art museum. Narbonne has a new Roman art museum. Albi had some great medieval churches, and Toulouse had yet another great Roman art museum and more medieval churches. I really do need to go back and add metadata for each photo with location and subject, but I don't have a good app to do that. (Apple Photos.app isn't good at batch metadata, e.g. adding location to a set of photos.)
